ב-21 למרץ 1963, הוחלט על פינוי מלא של בית הכלא הידוע לשמצה "אלקטרז". אבל שוטרי השב"ס שמגיעים לפנותו, מגלים לתדהמתם שהאסירים והסוהרים נעלמו מהכלא, המכונה גם "הסלע". הדבר נשמר בסוד כמוס, עד שכ-50 שנה אחרי, מופיעים לפתע האסירים והסוהרים, ללא סימני זקנה על פניהם, ודברים מוזרים מתחילים להתרחש ברחובות סן-פרנסיסקו.
